The Department of Microbiology and Immunology belongs to the core basic medical research department, undertaking basic theoretical research support for infectious disease prevention, vaccine research and clinical immune disease treatment.
It systematically studies the growth and reproduction rules of various microorganisms, the formation mechanism of human immune defense system, the response mode of the immune system to external pathogens and immune disorder related disease pathogenesis.
The department closely cooperates with the school of medicine and public health school to carry out joint research on infectious disease prevention and control and new vaccine development.
