The Department of Chemistry is an important basic natural science department of the school, covering all core branches of modern chemistry, and undertaking basic chemistry public courses and professional advanced chemistry teaching work for the whole school.
Its research directions include organic compound synthesis, inorganic material structure research, chemical reaction thermodynamic mechanism, precise chemical component analysis and new functional material chemistry research. It is equipped with complete chemical experiment equipment and safe standardized experiment operation venues.
The department undertakes a number of basic chemistry research and applied chemistry development projects, and establishes cooperative research relations with chemical industry enterprises and new material research institutes. It transports professional technical talents and scientific research reserve forces for chemical industry, new material development, pharmaceutical synthesis and other industries.
