The Department of English and Comparative Literature is a core humanities department on campus, committed to English language ability training, English classic literature sorting and multi-cultural literature comparative research work.

Daily teaching covers English writing, academic English reading, British and American literature history, classic work appreciation and cross-regional literary creation style comparison research. It focuses on improving students' language expression ability and literary theoretical analysis ability at the same time.

The department regularly holds literary reading salons and cross-cultural literature exchange activities, and establishes academic communication channels with language and literature majors of overseas universities. Graduates are engaged in foreign language education, literary creation, cultural exchange and text editing and other related occupations.
