The Department of Biology has a large faculty team and complete scientific research laboratory resources, covering multiple branches of modern biology disciplines, and is an important basic scientific research and talent training platform on campus.

The teaching and research scope includes molecular genetic mechanism, cell life activity rule, animal and plant ecological distribution law, biological evolution and environmental biological adaptation research. It not only pays attention to basic theoretical knowledge teaching, but also encourages students to participate in field ecological investigation and indoor molecular experiment research.

The department undertakes a large number of natural science foundation research projects and interdisciplinary biological application research projects. It provides solid professional foundation support for students who intend to engage in medicine, environmental protection, biological technology and other related industries, and many students continue to engage in high-level biological frontier research after graduation.
