The Department of English undertakes English language ability training and English literature professional research work, and is an important core liberal arts discipline of the university.
Daily teaching covers academic English reading and writing, British and American classic literature appreciation, literary creation theory and cross-cultural comparative literature research. It pays equal attention to improving students’ practical language application level and literary theoretical literacy.
The department regularly holds literary sharing salons and cross-cultural academic exchange activities, and maintains close academic communication with overseas liberal arts majors. Its graduates are engaged in foreign language education, literary editing, cultural exchange and academic research and other related fields.
