The Department of Chemistry is an important basic natural science department, undertaking public basic chemistry courses for the whole school and advanced professional chemistry teaching and research work for chemistry majors.
Its main research directions include organic compound synthesis, new functional material chemistry, chemical reaction mechanism, precise component analysis and applied chemical technology research. It is equipped with complete chemical experimental equipment and standardized safe experimental operation venues.
The department undertakes many basic chemistry research and applied chemistry development projects, and establishes cooperative research relations with chemical enterprises and new material research institutions.
