The Department of Biology has strong faculty strength and complete scientific research laboratory resources, covering multiple branches of modern biology, and is an important basic life science research and talent training platform on campus.

Its teaching and research scope includes molecular genetics, cell biology, biological evolution, animal and plant ecology and environmental biological adaptation rules. It pays attention to both basic theoretical teaching and encouraging students to participate in field ecological investigation and indoor molecular experimental research projects.
The department undertakes a large number of natural science foundation projects and interdisciplinary biological application research tasks. It provides solid professional foundation support for students engaged in medicine, biotechnology, environmental protection and other industries, and many graduates continue to engage in high-level life science frontier research work.
