The Department of English is an important core humanities teaching and research department of the university, committed to systematic English language ability training, British and American classic literature sorting and research and cross-cultural literary exchange research work.
Daily teaching covers academic English reading and writing, classic English literature appreciation, literary creation theory and cross-cultural comparative literature research. It pays attention to simultaneously improving students' practical language application ability and professional literary theoretical analysis level.
The department regularly holds literary reading salons and cross-cultural academic exchange activities, and maintains close academic communication with overseas language and literature majors. Its graduates are engaged in foreign language education, literary text editing, cross-cultural exchange and academic research related occupations.
